This is the update on Tacx’ top of the range trainer: The Neo 2. The popular Neo 2 has been optimized into an even quieter and more powerful Smart direct drive. The motor is redesigned in order to provide a better indoor cycling experience and ride feel, especially during climbs and sprints. If noise is is the biggest factor in your buying decission, this is the trainer for you.
Similar to the Neo 2, the trainer is very easy to set up and comes with adapters for every frame type. You’ll need to buy a cassette and attach it before first use.
Bikeradar clocked the Neo 2T at a market leading 61db in their review, down from 68db for the Neo 2. They also complemented the trainer on its good looks and ease to set up.
Cycling weekly commented on the improved ride and described how icredibly stable the ride was during heavy traning efforts. User reviews are almost universally positive – expensive, but worth it.
